My brother has just bought into a snow cone business. I was really surprised when I heard about it because it is just not the sort of thing that he is into. He hates anything to do with shaved ice! Of course it was totally a business idea and nothing to do with personal taste but I still always thought it was better to get into a business that you are passionate about so that you are enthusiastic and if you do not like the product you are selling then it is a little silly. I did speak to him about it and he said that he thought it was a great investment and he was helping a friend out.

He also explained that he will purely be a sleeping partner in the business and so he didn’t see that having an interest in it mattered. Personally I would still rather know a bit more about the type of business that my money was going in to but that is purely his decision. He has made some good and some bad investments over the years and so he has learnt a lot of lessons about where to put his money so I suppose I should trust that this time he is being sensible, but you can’t help worrying about your siblings, can you?
